Danny Ainge is close to a job with the Boston Celtics. I guess he has spent enough time with his family since he quit as coach of the Phoenix Suns.

If Michael Jordan really wants to show that he can be a good GM he should call Donald Sterling and tell him to give him control of the Clippers.

Jordan stunk as a GM with the Wizards but he should have been given at least one more year to fix the mess that he helped create. It looks to me like owner Be Pollin used Jordan to sell a bunch of tickets.

Jerry West must be laughing at Mitch Kupchak and Jerry Buss. The Lakers bench is worse than most of the teams that will be in the "LeBron Lottery" at the end of the month.

The Lakers better sign a big time point guard Gary Payton, Gilbert Arenas or Jason Terry would fill the grand canyon void that Derek Fisher has created on the court.

Phil Jackson will pull out the if we only had Rick Fox and Devean George on the court we would have won card if the Spurs beat the Lakers.

Antoine Walker is one of my favorite players because he always speaks his mind. Its gotta be hard for Walker to continue talking trash while he's playing like trash for the Celtics against the Nets.

If the Tigers recent offensive burst continues they could pass the Dodgers by in runs scored in the next few weeks.

As a Dodger fan I would love to see Jim Tracy and the guys have a playoff season. I can't imagine Alex Cora, Fred McGriff or Cesar Izturis doing anything of note offensively.

Dan Evans is the Mitch Kupchak of the Dodgers he built half a team. The Lakers have Shaq and Kobe and a bunch of stiffs and the Dodgers have a great pitching staff along with "Shawn Green and the 8 outs"

The Florida Marlins should sign Jose Canseco to prove that he is not being blackballed. Since Canseco can't leave his home under house arrest the ballclub should play a few Sunday's in his backyard. I bet this would actually help attendance.

John Lackey's 2003 performance with the Angels reminds me of Jaret Wright who was the star for the Indians in the 1997 season and has not been any good since.

Armando Benitez of the Mets could be traded to the Cardinals according to gossip. St. Louis has the most blown saves in the National League, have they seen Benitez pitch??

Bill Parcells should shock NFL insiders and change his hair color every month.

Paul Tagliabue would be wise to give the Minnesota Vikings 20 minutes between picks during next April's NFL draft.

I'll guarantee that the biggest story of the 2003 NFL season will be the Chargers, Colts, Saints, Vikings or Raiders announcing they have plans to return pro football to the Los Angeles market.

I have some plans to redesign BenMaller.com in the near future. The site has become pretty popular with my fellow sports talk show hosts and producers. I'm also told by a writer at the Los Angeles Times that many of the beat guys from around the country enjoy the stories that I add to the rumors and notes page.
